Recently, I was invited as a “Key Speaker” for an extremely interesting Panel Discussion organised by “ASSOCHAM India at New Delhi” during the “IP CONCLAVE & IPTSE AWARDS”. The topic for panel discussion majorly focused on “The Aspects of effective IP Enforcement in India.”
The panel discussion was moderated by “Shri. G.R. Raghavender - Joint Secretary Government of India, Ministry of Law & Justice.”
Lately, I was honoured with an opportunity to moderate a Panel Discussion on an immensely interesting topic, “Protecting your Brand! Brand Protection by Brand Leaders” in a conference organised by Indian Chambers of Commerce (ICC) at New Delhi. It was a great experience to discuss industrial perspectives & initiatives undertaken by Johnson & Johnson, Ford Motors India for protection of their Intellectual Property Rights. We had a significant discussion covering the important issues linked with Reactive, Proactive & Innovative Brand Protection strategies.
On the occasion of the World IP Day, Braand Defence Consultingg Pvt Ltd was honoured with a wonderful opportunity to deliver a guest session on “Understanding Counterfeiting Networks and challenges in disrupting them; combined perspective of brand owner and investigator” at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) – HQ, Mumbai, India. It was a great experience to interact with HUL’s Brand Protection Team & to address their queries.
On 21st February 2019, I was honoured with an opportunity to conduct a One-Day Workshop on “Role & Importance of Copyrights in Architecture Profession” at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Architecture College, Pune. The workshop witnessed an active involvement of both, the faculty members as well as students. The workshop also focused on all the important aspects of Copyrights law & its application in the field of Architecture.
Honoured with an opportunity to deliver a Key Note Session on “Importance of IPR & Need of Brand Protection” at State Level IPR Seminar organised by SIES College of Commerce, Mumbai. It was a great experience to interact with students & respected faculty members.
Received an opportunity to impart training sessions to Police Officers from Kerala Police Academy, Kochi. It was interesting to discuss practical as well as technical aspects involved in Intellectual Property Enforcement, focussing majorly on Trademark Infringements, Copyrights infringement, Online Counterfeiting & Anti-Piracy.
I would sincerely want to thank CIPAM & FICCI for organising this training program and inviting us for the session.
Received an opportunity to Judge the “IPR Moot Court Competition” Preliminary Rounds & Final round, organised by Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC), Pune. BMCC is the only college in India to conduct Moot Court Competition for Non-Law Colleges as well. All the participating colleges performed extremely well and judging them was also a learning experience for us. The moot court problem was amazingly drafted & extremely interesting viz. Whether the ambience of the hotel can be protected under Indian Trademark Laws?
Delivered a Session on Brand Protection & effective remedies for IPR violations / infringements / enforcement at ICSI Pune Chapter. The session received an overwhelming response with a 120 plus number of CS professionals actively participating in the same.
Received an excellent opportunity to Judge the “Judgement Analysis Competition” at Fergusson’s DES Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune. It was an exceptional learning experience for me.
I was also invited by same college on a same day as a Resource Person for IPR at National Seminar on Industrial Designs, where, I shared my views on IPR Protection & Brand Protection.
I was invited as a “Guest Speaker” to deliver a talk on “Need of Brand Protection” at the 5th Global Brand Protection conference & IPR Summit arranged by Platinum Global Solutions held at Bangkok, Thailand. It was a wonderful learning experience to connect with Global Brand Protection managers and to understand Global Brand Protection Strategies.
